Bannon surrenders to face charges of contempt of Congress

Donald Trump's former political adviser Stephen Bannon is now in custody after turning himself in on charges of contempt of Congress.

Mr. Bannon was indicted by a Grand Jury after he ignored a subpoena requiring him to give evidence to a Congressional committee investigating the January 6th violent insurrection on Capitol Hill by Trump supporters.

Moments before surrendering to the FBI's Washington field office, he directed a defiant message to his supporters via his own video livestream.

IN: "Hey, I just…."

OUT: "….thank you very much"

DUR:  18 seconds
