Biden prepares for legal challenges over vaccine mandates

US President Joe Biden says he's ready for possible legal challenges
to his new Covid-19 vaccine mandates.

Some Republican lawmakers are threatening to sue the White House after
the President mandated shots for all federal employees.

Biden also issued a requirement for all companies over 100 employees
to provide vaccine proof or submit to weekly testing.

Fifth and final England v India cricket test cancelled due to Covid-19

England's fifth Test against India in Manchester has been cancelled after a number of the Men in Blue's backroom staff tested positive for Covid-19.

Teenage Brit Emma Raducanu reaches US Open final in New York

"Crazy, cool and absolutely mind-blowing" is how Emma Raducanu [PRON: Rad-oo-car-noo] has described getting to the US Open Final, becoming the first British woman to reach a tennis Grand Slam singles final in 44 years.


The 18-year-old beat 17th seed Maria Sakkari in the semis in straight sets. She hasn't dropped a set in any of her nine matches in the tournament in New York.

Germany recommends vaccine for pregnant women

German medical experts have updated their Covid-19 vaccine advice for expectant mothers.

Russia's state-run energy company Gazprom has announced the completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, running between Russia and Germany. Biden Announces Sweeping New Vaccine Requirements

US president Joe Biden has announced sweeping new vaccine requirements intended to boost the number of American workers inoculated against COVID-19.  The new plan would mandate vaccinations - or in some cases testing - for around 100 million Americans, about two thirds of the country's workforce.

Jobless claims fall to pandemic-era low

The number of Americans filing for first time unemployment benefits
has dropped to a fresh pandemic-era low.

This is good news for the labor market following a far

Biden due to mandate covid vaccines for federal workers as US struggles to control Delta

US president Joe Biden is expected to announce a new covid 19 vaccine mandate for all federal workers without any option for regular testing as  an alternative.

DRC MENINGITIS OUTBREAK
