Hong Kong's Initium Media relocates to Singapore over press freedom fears

Belarusian athlete departs on Vienna-bound flight after refusing to go home

US to push back on China’s claim to South China Sea

US markets climb on strong earnings, US factory orders

NYC to soon require proof of Covid vaccine for many indoor venues

U.S. meatpacking giant Tyson Foods mandates coronavirus vaccines for employees


In the US, meatpacking giant Tyson Foods says it will require all of its employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of November.

Tokyo 2020: Samuel Takyi bronze for Ghana after losing semi final fight.

Ghanaian amateur boxer, Samuel Takyi has won a bronze medal at the Olympics in Japan. He competed in the men's boxing featherweight division. The bronze medal is the first for the West African country, which hasn't won an Olympics  medal since the men's football team won bronze at the 1992 Games in Barcelona nearly 30 years ago.

The White House says vaccination rates are shooting up in states hit hardest by a new wave of coronavirus cases in the U.S.


On average, the country is reporting around 80,000 new cases per day...and that's rising fast.
