Hong Kong police condemn stabbing of officer

Hong Kong police say they will crack down on acts of terrorism, after a man stabbed an officer in the street, before killing himself. US Justice Department puts pause on federal executions

President Biden visits scene of Miami building collapse

US President Joe Biden has visited the scene of a collapsed apartment building in Florida where 145 people are still missing.
 
It's been a week since the structure came down and so far 18 people have been confirmed dead.

Mr. Biden has praised the rescue workers looking for victims and said the federal government will continue to support the operation.

S&P notches up 6th straight record high

Trump CFO charged with fraud, grand larceny, makes first court appearance

Allan Weisselberg, the Chief Financial Officer with the Trump Organization has appeared in court in handcuffs and pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and grand larceny.


He surrendered to New York authorities this morning, facing 15 charges.


Donald Trump's business empire is also being charged with fraud.


Mr. Weisselbrerg is accused of avoiding taxes on one point seven million dollars of income.

EU launches digital Covid certificate to reboot tourism industry

The European Union has launched its digital Covid certificate, to allow European citizens to travel across the bloc. 

The move is designed to reduce the need for quarantines, and boost tourism over the peak summer months. 

Citizens from outside the EU can enter if they've been fully vaccinated with a jab recognised by the EU's health regulator.
