Airfares Surge in Nigeria Following Aviation Fuel Hike

The price of aviation fuel has risen in Nigeria causing airlines to increase their fares.

This has put more pressure on air travellers across the country.

Uganda Resumes COVID-19 Vaccinations

Uganda is set to resume vaccinations in the next few days.

 

In early June, the government halted the vaccination program after the first batch of the shots ran out.

 

The country recently received 175000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, a donation from the French Government.

STUDY: 'MILLIONS' HAVE HAD 'LONG COVID' IN UK

New data suggests over two million people in England may have suffered from long Covid.

Researchers found more than a third of those in their study who had coronavirus reported symptoms lasting at least 12 weeks.

They include things like fatigue and muscle aches.

Parliament shuts down after Ministers positive covid test

The heart of government in the Australian state of New South Wales is on the verge of being added as a potential covid hotspot after Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall tested positive to Covid 19.


People who attended a National party fundraiser alongside the Minister on Tuesday, have been instructed to isolate for two weeks, although Premier Gladys Berejiklian says she's been tested and cleared to return to work.

Biden announces measures to curb violent crime as gun violence soars in US

As gun violence soars in the United States, President Joe Biden has signed a series of executive orders aimed at curbing violent crime.

Russia says shots fired at UK military -- but Britain denies claims

Refugees And Migrants Hit Hard By COVID-19 in Africa

Nearly 14 Million Internally Displaced Persons, refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants in East and Horn of Africa are suffering some of the worst impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

EU pledged legal action against draft LGBT law in Hungary

The European Union's executive arm has pledged to take action against a draft LGBT law in Hungary. 

The bill passed in the Hungarian parliament last week would see a ban on content promoting homosexuality to children.
