US restricts assistance to Ethiopia over Tigray Conflict

Japan launches mass vaccinations centers

Belarus diverts plane and arrests blogger

A Ryanair flight travelling from Athens to Vilnius was diverted by Belarusian authorities who say they received information about explosives on board. Biden hails news of MidEast ceasefire, thanks Egypt for helping to broker it

President Biden says the ceasefire agreed between Israel and Hamas was secured after "hour-upon-hour" of intensive diplomacy by the US, Egypt and others.


Speaking at the White House, he vowed to provide fresh equipment to Israel for their "Iron Dome" defense system, but also pledged to provide humanitarian relief for the Gaza Strip.
