Australia – Federal Court dismisses pelvic mesh appeal
Australia's federal court has dismissed an appeal by drug company Johnson & Johnson over the $2.6 million dollar judgement awarded to Australian women injured by faulty vaginal mesh implants.
The company was ordered to pay damages to three women in March last year.

France extends weekend lockdown measure as Covid-19 cases increase
A third national Covid-19 lockdown is not "impossible', according to the French prime minister, who was speaking as the French government once again ruled out bringing in another nationwide confinement at the moment.
But France has imposed a weekend lockdown in the northern region around Calais. The southern city of Nice and the northern port of Dunkirk are already under the measure of Saturday-Sunday lockdowns, due to the flare-up in cases in both places.
