New York marks Covid-19 anniversary

It's been a year since the first Covid-19 case was reported in New York.

The Empire State quickly became the epicenter of the U.S. coronavirus
outbreak with more than 1.5 million cases now confirmed.

Search for Covid variant carrier in the UK continues

Health officials in the UK are trying to trace a so far unidentified person who's been infected with what the government says is a coronavirus "variant of concern" first found in Brazil.


The individual is one of six cases of the P1 variant found in the UK in February, as Benji Hyer reports from London.

GHANA BEGINS VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19

Germany introduces new border controls for France

French drivers will have to provide German police with a negative coronavirus test result in order to cross the border. 


The measures are being introduced by the German government after the country's leading health body classified the French region of Moselle as an area of high concern for coronavirus infection rates.

UK health officials are trying to find one of the first people in the UK believed to have contracted a Brazilian covid-19 'variant of concern'.

Six cases have been confirmed in Britain.

But one of those hasn't been located as they didn't complete their registration card when tested last month.

Protests at Hong Kong court as 47 activists face subversion charges
