EU regulator to deliver verdict on Oxford/AstraZeneca shot as Germany restricts use for over 65s

Germany is restricting the use of the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab for the over 65s - as the EU's health regulator prepares to deliver its verdict on the vaccine. 

It comes as the row over delivery shortages continues, with the EU saying it's prepared to take legal action.

Australia – Australian of the Year award under investigation after betting plunge

GM to phase out making petrol cars

One of the world's largest carmakers, General Motors is to phase out production of petrol-powered cars and trucks.


The US firm said that by 2035 it will only sell vehicles that have zero tailpipe emissions.

NOVAVAX COVID VACCINE 'HIGHLY EFFECTIVE'

Phase three trials of the Novavax Covid-19 vaccine show it is 89.3% effective, according to the company.

The UK's ordered 60 million doses of the vaccine, which will be manufactured in north east England if approved by regulators,
