French president says "welcome back" as Joe Biden rejoins Paris Climate Agreement

The new US president Joe Biden says he will seek to rejoin the Paris climate agreement to limit global warming that was signed in 2015.

In November last year, former US president Donald Trump pulled out of the landmark international accord saying the deal was not in America's best interests.

Australia - Catholic Church makes record payout to abuse victim

An Australian man will receive a record payout of $2.45 million plus legal costs, to compensate him for the abuse he suffered at the hands of teacher and priest Bertram Adderley, who groomed and then raped him between 1977 and 1980.
