Biden and Trump's Contrasting Agenda ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday

Joe Biden and Donald Trump have adopted starkly different tones ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.

 

While the President-Elect gave a sombre speech on the pandemic, the incumbent President pardoned his former national security advisor Michael Flynn and repeated baseless allegations about election fraud at a Republican meeting in Pennsylvania.

UN: Covid-19 worsening poverty and violence against women

Covid-19 continues to expose violence against women and girls and push them further into poverty, the United Nations chief warned Wednesday.


Marking the International Day of Eliminating Violence Against Women, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for urgent global action to end the violence and lift women out of poverty.
