Dominic Cummings leaves Downing Street following days of political turmoil

Dominic Cummings, senior advisor to the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, has left Downing Street with immediate effect, according to Number 10 sources. 

 

He was expected to leave by Christmas, but after a week of political infighting, he departed for good on Friday night.

No evidence of electoral fraud, say U.S. election officials- China congratulates Biden

There is no evidence of electoral fraud in the 2020 US presidential election- that’s the word from election officials, who insist the vote was the most secure in American history.


Refuting President Donald Trump’s version of events, the election committee concluded the voting system was not compromised in any way.

Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe -- The Yorkshire Ripper -- dies aged 74

Trump bans Americans from investing in companies that support China's military

The Trump administration has issued an executive order to ban Americans from investing in Chinese companies that support China's military.


The ban could affect some of China's biggest publicly-listed firms, including China Telecom and tech firm Hikvision.

US markets extend losses as Covid cases rise, economic outlook uncertain
