German health authorities have reported a record number of new coronavirus cases. The unwelcome milestone comes as Europe's biggest economy remains under partial lockdown, as it battles a resurgence of the virus.

Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe -- The Yorkshire Ripper -- dies aged 74

Peter Sutcliffe, the serial killer dubbed The Yorkshire Ripper, has died at the age of 74.


He was serving a whole life term for murdering 13 women across the north of England during the 1970s.

Trump bans Americans from investing in companies that support China's military

The Trump administration has issued an executive order to ban Americans from investing in Chinese companies that support China's military.


The ban could affect some of China's biggest publicly-listed firms, including China Telecom and tech firm Hikvision.
