Joe Biden spends election day in must-win Pennsylvania

Election day dawns in USA

It's election day in the United States and a record number of voters are expected to participate and decide whether President Trump deserves four more years in the White House, or whether he should be replaced by Joe Biden.

Manhunt continues in Vienna following terrorist attack

Police in Vienna are continuing their search for more attackers following a terrorist shooting in the Austrian capital. Police shot and killed one gunman who began attacking people near a local synagogue but the country's interior minister fears more gunmen could still be on the run.

Assailants kill civilians in Ethiopia

The African Union has condemned the killing of civilians in Ethiopia's Oromia region.

LIVERPOOL TO PILOT CITY-WIDE COVID-19 TESTING

The entire population of the city of Liverpool in the UK will be regularly tested for Covid-19 as part of a trial using new rapid-turnaround tests.

At least four dead after terror attack in Vienna

At least four people have been killed and 15 wounded in a series of shootings in Austria's capital.

Authorities say the attack in Vienna was carried out by at least one "Islamist terrorist."

AUSTRIA MANHUNT CONTINUES AFTER ATTACKS

Police in Austria are still hunting at least one suspect after gun attacks that killed four people.

Gunmen opened fire at six locations in Vienna, also wounding seventeen victims.

One of the attackers was shot dead by police, and is described by the country's Interior Minister as an 'Islamist terrorist'.

Another suspect was arrested.

Security expert Professor Michael Clarke says Austria is not well used to this type of incident.

BELARUS FIRST IN LINE TO RECEIVE RUSSIAN VACCINE

Belarus will be the first country to receive the Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine, according to its Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko.

The Russian made vaccine is the first to be registered in the world, despite phase three trials still in progress.

Belarus is part of that testing programme, which is required before mass vaccinations of the population can begin.
