Democratic Convention Kicks Off Monday

The Democratic National Convention gets underway on Monday, but it won't be the usual affair in front of thousands of party members.

Most of the speakers including their presidential nominee Joe Biden won't be giving their addresses in person due to concerns around the pandemic.

Pelosi calls lawmakers back to vote on Post Office changes

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling lawmakers back to Washington, D.C. from recess to vote on a bill to stop changes to the Post Office.

Tanzania announces Record Revenues from its minerals sector

The Tanzanian government says it collected a total of 227 million USD in the mining sector by June 2019/20 as compared to 148 million USD collected a year before, equivalent to a 52.6 percent increase.

UK signs deals for 90m COVID vaccine doses

The British government has signed deals for a further 90 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine.

DRC/Zambia Leaders Hold Talks Over Border Dispute

Uganda to Close Shopping Arcades Over Increasing COVID-19 Cases

Uganda's Ministry of Health is considering closing down two shopping arcades in the capital after the premises recorded COVID-19 cases.

It's taken the decision based on rising coronavirus rates in those countries.

It'll have a huge impact on France's tourism sector, with around 500 000 Britons thought to currently be in France.
