U.S donates 200 ventilators to Nigeria



The U.S. government has donated 200 life-saving ventilators to Nigeria as a fulfilment to help the African nation in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

UK IN RECESSION

The UK is in recession for the first time in 11 years, new figures have confirmed.

Its economy shrank 20.4% in quarter 2 compared to the first three months of the year - as the full effect of coronavirus lockdown measures was felt.

It's the biggest slump on record for the UK economy.

Losses on Wall Street with major losses for the tech sector

TANZANIA AWARDED SAFE TRAVELS AWARD

Tanzania has been awarded the Safe travel stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council.

The stamp was given as recognition of the safety protocols introduced by the Government of Tanzania to ensure the safety of domestic and international travelers.

 

The tourism sector contributes almost 17.2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 25 percent of all forex revenues.

UN Security Council to vote on extending Iran arms embargo

UK employment level declines by biggest amount in over a decade

Employment in the UK has fallen by the largest amount in more than a decade. 


The number of people in work decreased by 220,000 between April and June, according to the Office for National Statistics -- that's the largest quarterly decrease since the financial crisis of 2009.

Uganda Jails Security Officials for Spying for Rwanda

BELARUS OPPOSITION LEADER 'SAFE' IN LITHUANIA
