NEW 90 MINUTES TESTS FOR UK HOSPITALS AND CARE HOMES

Tests which detect coronavirus and flu in just 90 minutes will be rolled out across UK care homes, hospitals and laboratories next week.

They're non-invasive and don't require a trained health professional.

The Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, says the tests will be "hugely beneficial", especially in preparation for the seasonal flu season.

Death toll rises to more than 100 in toxic alcohol tragedy in north India

As a result of drinking toxic illegally made alcohol in recent days, the death toll in the northern Indian state of Punjab has risen to more than 100, according to officials.

Police have carried out dozens of raids in a crackdown on illegal liquor in the state.

Airlines in Nigeria panic as government allegedly withdraws N27billion ($70m) support



The plight of airlines in Nigeria has taken a turn for the worse as the government has allegedly withdrawn about twenty seven billion naira intervention fund meant for the aviation industry.

Pompeo: Trump will take action on Chinese software firms

SpaceX Crew Dragon returns to earth

India sees record daily surge in Covid-19 infections

India has seen yet another record daily spike in its number of coronavirus cases, with more than 55,000 fresh infections recorded in the past 24 hours, according to data released by the country's ministry of health on Friday.

This comes as the government has permitted further easing of the country's lockdown restrictions from the beginning of August.
