UN Peacekeeper Killed in Eastern DR Congo

EU considers banning US visitors as borders reopen

The EU is considering including the US on a list of countries barred from entry due to COVID-19 risk . 

American visitors could be included on a list which also includes Brazil and Russia. 

It comes as EU ambassadors on Wednesday seek to agree on how to reopen Europe's external borders by early July.

Uganda Temporarily Opens its Border to Refugees

Health leaders in the UK are warning the government must now prepare for a second wave of coronavirus.

The message from the Royal Colleges of Physicians, Surgeons, GPs and Nursing - follows confirmation of the biggest easing of the lockdown in England so far.

Many restrictions will be relaxed on Saturday July 4th, including for pubs, cinemas, and hairdressers.

The government says it's moving cautiously, and following scientific advice.

But GP Dr Louise Irvine says she's terrified.

Louisville Police fire officer involved in Breonna Taylor shooting

Louisville Police Department has fired one of the officers involved in the fatal shooting of 26 year old emergency room technician Breonna Taylor.

Taylor, an African American woman, was killed in March after police entered her apartment using a "no-knock" warrant and fired 10 shots inside.

US Justice Department lawyer to testify of political influence in Roger Stone case

A lawyer in the US Department of Justice is expected to testify in front of Congress that politics influenced the Department's handling of Roger Stone's case.

FBI concludes NASCAR driver was not a hate crime target

The FBI has found that NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was not a target of hate crime, after it investigated the discovery of a noose in his locker on Sunday.

EU May Ban American Travellers When It Reopens

The European Union may bar travellers from the US, Russia, and Brazil,  when it reopens its borders on July 1st. 

The New York Times is reporting it has seen draft lists of countries identified as safe and, according to the Times, the US, Russia, and Brazil are not on those lists.

Fauci contradicts Trump saying Coronavirus testing will increase; vaccine possible by end of year; disturbing infection surge in some states

America's top infectious disease expert says he's cautiously optimistic that coronavirus vaccines may be ready for testing by the end of the year. 


During congressional testimony Dr. Anthony Fauci described a "disturbing surge in infections" in a number of states and said testing would be expanded, not slowed down as President Donald Trump has suggested in recent days.

ENGLAND HOSPITALITY, LEISURE, TOURISM TO REOPEN JULY

UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, says from the beginning of next month England's hospitality, tourism and leisures industries can start to reopen.

There will be some limitations, and not all businesses are included.
