Ghana’s health minister tests positive for covid-19


Ghana's Health Minister has tested positive for COVID-19. The government says his condition is mild and is recovering at the hospital. Ghana's infection of the coronavirus is now almost twelve thousand, one of the highest on the continent.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to meet EU leaders for virtual talks

French president says country has won the first battle in the Covid-19 "war"

Emmanuel Macron made an address to the French people on Sunday evening, urging them to stay vigilant as he announced that all cafes and restaurants across the country can now open fully again.

The French president also said that all primary and secondary schools would re-open from June 22.

Former U.S. marine given 16 years' hard labour in Russia

Delhi witnesses big surge in cases

India has announced new emergency measures for the capital New Delhi - as it struggles to cope with a surge in COVID19 cases.

The Indian capital is grappling with a huge shortage of critical medical infrastructure at a time when cases have peaked. Delhi recorded its biggest spike so far- more than 2200 new cases on Sunday.

Protests erupt after Atlanta police shooting

Protests have erupted over the weekend in Atlanta after a 27 year old black man was fatally shot by white police officers on Friday night.

It comes three weeks after the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in Minneapolis, which sparked protests across the United States.
