UK could offer 'path to citizenship' for Hong Kong's British passport holders

The UK could offer British National passport holders in Hong Kong a path to UK citizenship if China does not suspend plans for a security law in the territory. 


It comes after China's parliament backed proposal that would make it a crime to undermine Beijing's authority. There are fears the legislation could end Hong Kong's "unique" status.

Renault to restructure factories and make worldwide job cuts

Renault announces 15,000 jobs are being cut worldwide, including 4,600 in France, as it faces a slump in global demand that has been exacerbated by the coronavirus crisis.

India counters Trump claim of talking to Modi on China

Weeks after Indian and Chinese troops faced off in the Ladakh region of northern India- that stand-off is showing no signs of easing.

US President Donald Trump has now offered to mediate on the issue twice- he's also claimed that he spoke to Prime Minister Modi on the issue and that the Indian Prime Minister 'is not in a good mood about what is going on with China'.

However as Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi, India says the two leaders have not spoken in weeks.

UK REGIONS EASE LOCKDOWNS


The UK is moving into the next phases of its Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

In Scotland, people from two different households can now meet up outdoors.

In England, small groups of people will also be allowed to get together outside from Monday.

It follows the government saying it's five key tests have been met to allow the easing of some restrictions - including falling daily fatalities.

Professor Stephen Reicher - who's one of the subcommittees of scientists advising the UK governmemnt - says it's a cautious approach.

Declines on Wall Street as investors brace for China announcement

Iran Nuclear Deal Dealt Another Blow By Trump Administration

GERMANY THREATENS SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA OVER 2015 CYBERATTACK

Minneapolis mayor calls for officer involved in George Floyd killing to be charged
