UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announced an easing to coronavirus lockdown rules in England from next week.

Small groups of people will be allowed to meet outside, in what he says are 'cautious' steps to adjust restrictions.

Iran Nuclear Deal Dealt Another Blow By Trump Administration

The international deal aimed at preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon has been dealt another blow by the Trump administration.


It's ending sanctions waivers that allow Russian, Chinese and European companies to work on Iranian nuclear sites, a move some experts say will make it easier for Tehran to advance its nuclear program.

Europe COVID-19 deaths exceed 100,000

More than 175,000 people have died of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Europe. 

Nearly three-quarters of those who died are in the UK, Italy, Spain and France.

GERMANY THREATENS SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA OVER 2015 CYBERATTACK

Germany has summoned the Russian ambassador over a 2015 cyber attack on its parliament, and said it would seek to sanction those responsible.

It would be the first known case of its kind since the EU agreed last year on using sanctions to respond to cyberattacks.

Minneapolis mayor calls for officer involved in George Floyd killing to be charged

The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, has made an urgent appeal for the National Guard to intervene, following a second night of protests over the police killing of unarmed African-American George Floyd. He has also called for the officer involved in his killing to be charged.

S. Korea tightens quarantine measures over infection spike

Supreme Court rebukes Indian government over migrant exodus

Two months after India announced a strict nationwide lockdown with just four hours notice, thousands of migrant workers are still fleeing Indian cities on foot.

With most businesses still shut, these migrant workers have been without jobs and money for over 60 days now. India's Supreme Court has reprimanded the government for lapses and inadequacies in how this crisis was handled.

Test and trace system kicks off in England and Scotland

25,000 contact tracers are making their first phone calls to track down people who will be told to self-isolate under new test and trace schemes being launched in England and Scotland. 


Tracers will text, email or call people who test positive with coronavirus and ask who they have had contact with. Any of those contacts deemed at risk of infection will be told to isolate for 14 days, even if they are not ill.

EASYJET CUTTING THOUSANDS OF JOBS

British budget airline Easyjet is to cut 30% of its staff as it struggles to cope with the collapse in air traffic travel from the coronavirus pandemic.

French parliament approves use of track-and-trace app

Politicians in France have approved a bill to allow a track-and-trace app to be brought in to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The proposed legislation is now set to be formally announced by the prime minister on Thursday as he sets out the next phase of relaxing the lockdown in France.

UK TEST AND TRACE SYSTEM LAUNCHES

UK Health secretary Matt Hancock says it's people's 'civic duty' to co-operate with a new coronavirus test and trace regime being rolled out (on Thursday).

The NHS system is going live with 25-thousand contact tracers recruited.

Their job will be to trace everyone who's come close to a Covid-19 sufferer - and tell them to self-isolate for 14-days, even if they have no symptoms.

Russia to alter coronavirus classification

Boeing to lay off more than 12,000 employees due to pandemic
