The death of an unarmed black man in police custody has triggered
violent protests in the U.S. city of Minneapolis.

AUSTRALIA: police drop charges against Newscorp journalist

Australia's Federal Police have opted to drop their investigation of Newscorp Canberra-based journalist Annika Smethurst .

UK PM to face questions over adviser and government handling of coronavirus

AU concerned of continued conflict amid COVID-19


The African Union says it is concerned that calls for ceasefire during the COVID-19 period are not being respected in parts of the continent .

The United Nations and the African Union made a call in March for warring factions to down their arms in order to enable citizens to get much needed attention during the pandemic.

White woman fired by employer after calling police on black man in Central Park

A white woman has been fired by her employer after she called the police on a black man in New York's Central Park, claiming he was threatening her.

Christian Cooper, who is an avid bird watcher, had asked the woman if she could leash her dog.

He filmed the encounter which took place on Monday and the video went viral on social media after his sister posted it online.
