Huawei criticizes US export ban

Chinese tech company Huawei has hit back at America's export ban
saying the U.S. decision will hurt its global operations.

Last week the Trump administration moved to block exports of
semiconductors to Huawei in a sign of continue US-China tensions.

Moderna sees positive signs from Covid-19 vaccine

The manufacturer of a potential Covid-19 vaccine has announced that
trials on human subjects are showing positive results.

Russia's lowest daily rise in weeks

The head of Russia's health watchdog has said the outbreak is 'stabilizing' around the country, as it posts its lowest daily rise in new infections since the start of May. UK SCIENTISTS CAUTIOUS ABOUT COVID19 VACCINE

Rwanda genocide suspect awaits likely extradition from France

Felicien Kabuga, one of world's most-wanted fugitives, is awaiting the start of the legal process in France after he was arrested in Paris at the weekend.

Coronavirus infections in India surge by more than 5,000 in one day

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India has surged by more than 5,000 infections over the past 24 hours - its biggest single day spike so far.

Japan slips into recession

Japan's economy fell into a recession for the first time in more than four years, according to the latest official data.


The country's GDP shrank by 3.4 percent in the three months ending in March, following the previous quarter's 7.3 percent decline.

US health secretary pushes for economy reopening

A top Trump official is pushing for the U.S. economy to reopen as
quickly as possible despite warnings of a spike in new COVID-19
infections.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar says the country is
ready to reopen and faces "serious health consequences" if shops and
businesses remain closed.

More than 36 million Americans have lost their jobs as a result of the
pandemic and the Trump administration is worried that will only worsen
