US health secretary pushes for economy reopening

A top Trump official is pushing for the U.S. economy to reopen as
quickly as possible despite warnings of a spike in new COVID-19
infections.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar says the country is
ready to reopen and faces "serious health consequences" if shops and
businesses remain closed.

More than 36 million Americans have lost their jobs as a result of the
pandemic and the Trump administration is worried that will only worsen
if the economy doesn't reopen.

Azar told CNN, state governors must decide when the time is right, but
promoted a sooner rather than later approach.
