Russian football to return in June

Russian football will return in June after being halted during the coronavirus pandemic. The governing body has announced the current Premier League season will be completed, even though cases of the virus continue to surge. Lucy Taylor reports.

More people dying in care homes than hospital in UK

More than a third of care homes in England have now recorded a coronavirus outbreak. 


That number is as high as 40% in London, and Public Health England data shows almost every district in the country now has had an outbreak in at least one care home.

World Bank approved $1 billion dollars to help India fight COVID19

UK GOVT PRESSED BY UNIONS OVER SCHOOLS RETURN

The UK government's scientific advisers are meeting teaching unions on Friday to discuss how children will return to school.

It's been arranged by the education secretary, who says they have a "duty" to allow some pupils in England to go back next month.

Moscow begins mass antibody testing

Indian train passengers turned away from Bangalore after quarantine protest

Nineteen passengers who travelled to the Indian city of Bangalore from Delhi were sent back on a train after they refused to go into compulsory quarantine.

Very limited rail services resumed in India this week as a nationwide lockdown continues in the country to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Children affected by rare disease potentially linked to coronavirus

Scores of European and American children are being affected by a rare inflammatory disease which may be linked to coronavirus.


In a small number of children, it can cause serious complications, with some needing intensive care.
