UGANDA MASS COVID TESTING

INTRO

Uganda has begun a mass testing initiative targetting transport workers following a surge in the number of truck drivers testing positive for Covid-19.

Authorities say the screening, which is taking place at borders and along transit routes, will help them make an informed decision on how to lift the lockdown.

Uganda has so far recorded 79 cases and zero deaths from the novel coronavirus.
