Google resists demands in Digital-Ad investigation

Google is being criticized for resisting efforts to surrender emails and other documents sought by authorities investigating possible anticompetitive practices.

Google says it is cooperating but has raised concerns over the proceedings of the probe.

US and Afghan Taliban agree partial truce

The Afghan Taliban have agreed to a week long reduction in violence,
which could form the basis of a permanent peace deal.

EU budget battle continues into second day

European leaders are meeting for the second day in Brussels to try and reach a deal on the EU's budget, amid deep divisions on the bloc's long-term spending plans. 

Brexit has resulted in a budget shortfall of as much as €75billion over the next seven years. 

The summit has been called by EU Council President Charles Michel to try and find a breakthrough in the stalled negotiations.

Lawyers claim Trump offered to pardon Assange

A London court has heard that US President Donald Trump offered to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange if he said Russia was not involved in leaking emails during the 2016 US election.

The White House and the congressman have denied Trump's involvement in the matter.

9 KILLED IN HANAU SHOOTINGS

Police in Germany are investigating the circumstances of a suspected far-right terrorist attack on two shisha bars.

Nine people died in the shootings in the town of Hanau, east of Frankfurt.
