Taliban continue attacks despite potential US deal

The Taliban says it will continue carrying out attacks even while a
potential deal is being negotiated with the United States to end the
almost 20 year war in Afghanistan.

Insurgents claim they killed 19 government soldiers on Sunday night,
despite an upcoming seven-day pause in fighting.

Thousands in Tanzania Ordered to Evacuate due to possible Dam Burst

The Mwanga district defense and security committee in the Kilimanjaro region has warned that failure to evacuate the danger zone around the dam will force the authorities to dispatch police to remove the villagers.

14 US Coronavirus Patients among evacuated Cruise ship Passengers

More than three hundred Americans on board a cruise ship in Japan which had a coronavirus outbreak have arrived back in the US.

14 of those people have tested positive for coronavirus.

Boko Haram attacks community, reportedly destroy phone masts


Suspected members of Boko Haram insurgents have attacked a community, in Yobe state northeast Nigeria.

Although security officials say the attacks have been repelled, several properties including phone masts were reportedly destroyed.

40 cruiseship Americans confirmed with coronavirus

Forty Americans have been confirmed as having coronavirus after they
were taken off a cruise ship quarantined in Japan.

The Diamond Princess has been held in the port of Yokohama, with
almost 4,000 passengers on board, for more than a week.

Police find body of British woman missing in New Zealand

The body of a British woman missing in New Zealand has been found by police.


Stephanie Simpson, aged 32, from Essex near London, is thought to have died in an accident while on a hike last weekend on the country's South Island. 


Searchers made the discovery on Friday.
