Ethiopia not bent on taking Egypt's proposals on Dam

Intro 

Ethiopia says it will not accept any other proposals towards ending a conflict it has with Egypt over the construction of a power dam on the River Nile.

Ethiopia is building a 6000MW dam on the river, which Egypt has been opposing for the past 8 years claiming it will reduce water flow into its territory.

Protests expected to continue in Hong Kong over the weekend

It's been more than 4 months since Hong Kong's protesters first took
to the streets in defiance of a controversial China extradition bill.

The House of Commons will sit on a Saturday for the first time since the Falklands War.

MPs will vote on whether to accept the agreement reached between the UK and EU in Brussels on Thursday.

Boris Johnson faces an uphill task to get the deal through Parliament so Britain leaves the EU by October 31st.

California App to Warn Residents of Earthquakes

California's Govenor Gavin Newsom has unveiled a new earthquake early warning app. "MyShake" has been developed by the University of California, Berkeley, and will use ground motion sensors across the state to detect earthquakes before people feel them.  The app marks the 30th anniversary of the magnitude 6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake, that ravaged the San Francisco Bay.

Report: Turkish President threw Trump's letter about Syria in the bin
