UK PM ON CHARM OFFENSIVE TO GET SUPPORT FOR DEAL

The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is trying to persuade British lawmakers to agree to his new withdrawal agreement, ahead of a vote in parliament on Saturday.

The UK finally secured a deal with EU negotiators on Thursday.

This withdrawal agreement sets out the way the UK will leave the EU, and presents a workaround to the Irish backstop problem which has plagued negotiations.
