Russian navy set to launch drone-carrying special submarine

The Russian navy is preparing to receive a newly-built special-purpose submarine, one of a number of new subs entering service.

The Belgorod will be able to carry nuclear-capable underwater drones.

Xenophobic Attacks: Over 600 Nigerians set to be repatriated from South Africa



Nigeria's government says it is set to repatriate at least 600 of its citizens living in South Africa back home.

This is as a result of a continuous wave of xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals living in the southern Africa nation.

UK PARLIAMENT INTO SUSPENSION

The UK's Parliament has entered a five week shut-down.

It's been suspended until 14th October, in what opposition lawmakers say is a move that's damaging to democracy.

The government insists it's the right time to end a Parliamentary session so it can set out a new legislative agenda next month.

Boris Johnson's administration also insists it will continue to work hard to reach a deal with the European Union ahead of the scheduled Brexit date of October 31st.

UK MPs REJECT ELECTION

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's plan for an early election has again been rejected by British lawmakers.

He failed to win the support of two-thirds of MPs he needed to get the election he wanted on October 15th.

US envoy on Venezuela accuses EU of not doing enough to punish Maduro regime

The Trump administration has accused the European Union of being "unhelpful" and of making "a real miscalculation" over its failure to impose tougher sanctions on the government of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela - according to the Financial Times newspaper.

Iran slams EU for nuclear deal failings

The director of Iran's nuclear energy agency says his country has the

Joshua Wong Released Following Airport Arrest
