EU waits to find out Boris Johnson's Brexit plans

The European Union is waiting to find out what plans Boris Johnson has for Brexit. 

Mr Johnson will become the UK's next Prime Minister on Wednesday. 

He's expected to hand out top jobs in his administration, some of which could have consequences for negotiations with the EU.

France to extend IVF access to all women

The French government has proposed allowing single women and lesbian couples access to IVF, and giving the children of sperm donors access to information about their biological fathers, neither of which is currently possible in France.

The measures are in a new bioethics bill unveiled on Wednesday, which will go before parliament in September.

Deutsche Bank posts $3.5 billion loss for quarter

Troubled German lender Deutsche Bank reported a loss of three and a half billion US dollars in the second quarter, a worse result than expected.


Despite the loss, the bank insists that its massive restructuring plan is on track.
