India denies Trump's claim on Kashmir mediation

India has denied President Donald Trump's claims that Prime Minister Modi asked the US to mediate in the Kashmir dispute with Pakistan. 

The two nuclear armed neighbours both stake claim to all of Kashmir but govern only parts of it and the dispute has been on for over seven decades.
