CROSS-PARTY BREXIT TALKS TO CONTINUE

Brexit talks continue on Thursday between UK Prime Minister Theresa May and opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Labour wants Theresa May to agree to enter a Customs Union with the EU, but that could split her Conservative Party.

Meanwhile, lawmakers voted to try and force the Prime Minister to seek an extension to avoid a 'no deal' Brexit - although the EU would have to agree to any further delays.

Britain's currently due to leave the bloc on April 12th.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says it's not clear whether the cross-party talks have any chance of success.

Korea's SKT activates 5G mobile for celebrities in race to be world's first

SK telecom said it was offering 5G subscriptions from Friday.

But according to local media, SK heard that U.S. provider Verizon would also be launching soon.

The title of world's first was at risk.

But SK had given six Samsung 5G smartphones to Korean celebrities at a 5G preview event.

So, without notice, they activated the celebs 5G service.

Verizon launched two hours later in two cities where one 5G phone is on sale.

The Korean public won't be able to buy the new Samsung's until Friday.

Both companies say they're first.

Bragging rights aside, these are limited launches.

And most people won't be able to enjoy 5G's zippy speeds for months or even years… depending on what phone you use.

US Congressional Committee votes to subpoena Mueller Report

A powerful committee in the US House of Representatives has voted to force President Trump's Attorney General to hand over the full, unedited report by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.

So far, the Department of Justice has released only very brief excerpts from the report's conclusions, claiming they clear the President of colluding with the Russians.

The move by the House Judiciary Committee creates a potential standoff with the Trump administration.

South Korea's foreign ministry said this is the first South Korean ship thought to have violated sanctions against North Korea.

A ministry official said the tanker has been detained in Busan since last October.

Seoul believes it transferred oil to a North Korean ship in international waters.

It's unclear why the government took so long to disclose the detainment.

South Korean President Moon has been pushing hard for economic engagement with North Korea.

But his projects, including joining the two countries railways, would violate sanctions against the North.

Previously, South Korean companies have been accused of importing coal from North Korea.
