UN targets global drugs trade

Over 120 countries have signed up to support global efforts to tackle
the international drugs trade.

At a special, high-level meeting at the United Nations world leaders
discussed the rising problems of trafficking and drugs use.

At the event called the 'Global call to action on the World Drug
Problem' countries also looked at different ways to better engage the
issue and find solutions.

The Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all countries to help.

Bill Cosby sentencing begins over sexual assault conviction

American Comedian Bill Cosby faces sentencing Monday after he was found guilty back in April of drugging and sexually assaulting a women in 2004.

The 81 year-old could receive anything from a lengthy prison term to probation.

Trump: 2nd North Korea summit may happen "soon"

US President Donald Trump says a second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un may happen "soon".  

It follows the historic meeting between the two leaders in Singapore in June.

Trump arrives at UN for busy week

US President Donald Trump has returned to the United Nations General Assembly for a week in which he's expected to attack Iran and work on denuclearization in North Korea.

Later on Monday he'sll meet the President of South Korea to sign a trade agreement between the two countries.

Trump calls latest claims against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh "totally political".

France to cut €25 billion worth of taxes next year

The French government has announced a 25 billion euro tax cut for households and businesses in next year's budget. 

It will be the lowest tax level in France since 2012. 

But the measures will increase the country's deficit even higher, and close to an EU limit.

Indian government launches 'world's largest' healthcare scheme

Accuser of Supreme Court nominee set to testify on Thursday

Paypal joins other tech giants, bans InfoWars

PayPal says it is cutting off its service to American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Deputy Attorney General of US denies plotting to record, overthrow Trump

The US official overseeing the investigation into Donald Trump's ties to the Russians is denying a report that he once suggested secretly taping the US President, and launching a plot to oust him from power.

China wants US to revoke sanctions over Russian military equipment
