President Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen has reportedly struck a plea deal with prosecutors and will appear in court in New York later today.


Mr. Cohen has been investigated for campaign finance violations and fraud.

US sanctions on Russian shipping companies

The United States Treasury has imposed new sanctions on two Russian companies and two citizens for breaking sanctions and doing business with North Korea.

President Trump maintains tough stance on Turkey

Microsoft thwarts 'Russian cyber attack'

Microsoft says it has blocked attempts by Russian hackers to steal data from conservative US political organisations.

Microsoft said the hackers were from the same group that sought to influence the 2016 election and is also linked to the Kremlim.

President Trump says he believes North Korea has made steps towards denuclearisation, according to an interview he gave to Reuters news.

Trump not expecting progress in trade talks with China

U.S. President Donald Trump has said he doesn't expect much progress from trade talks with China this week in Washington.

In the interview with Reuters, he also accused China of manipulating its currency to make up for having to pay tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.

Kremlin denies allegations Russian hackers targeted US conservative groups

Moscow dismissed allegations voiced by the US software giant Microsoft that Russian hackers were trying to  trying to disrupt the US midterm elections. The company said a pro-Kremlin group was targeting American conservative groups and think-tanks. The Kremlin denied it had any links to the hackers. UK health officials warn of ‘no-deal Brexit’ impact

Death toll from Kerala floods crosses 300, 1 million in relief camps

The state government of Kerala has confirmed that over 300 lives have been lost in the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc in the southern Indian state.

The government says that over one million people are currently taking refugee in relief camps.

Pope Francis condemns child sex abuse and cover-ups in Catholic Church

Pope Francis has condemned the "atrocities" of child sex abuse and cover-ups in an unprecedented letter to all Catholics.
