It threatened progress on a deal it reached with the U.S. to give up its nuclear weapons and suggested stability on the Korean Peninsula may not last.

Arrest in California Holy Fire

Authorities in California have arrested a man in connection with one of eighteen major fires burning through the state. 

He's accused of intentionally starting the Holy Fire in the Cleveland Nationa Forest.

Puerta Rican government acknowledges hurricane death toll of more than 1,400

Puerto Rico has acknowledged more than 1,400 people died in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria - far higher than the 64 deaths previously reported.

US to hit Russia with sanctions over UK nerve agent poisoning

The US is introducing new sanctions against Russia to punish the Kremlin for the country's involvement in the poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the British town of Salisbury earlier this year.


It's the first time the Trump administration has officially accused the Russians of breaking international law by using the nerve agent Novichok on British soil.
