Space X Launches Communications Satellite into Orbit

The third time was the charm for Space X this week, as it finally blasted a large commercial communications satellite into orbit. Two last second launches were aborted on Sunday and Monday.

Kremlin disagrees with Trump its behavior in Europe is 'destabilizing'

Trump administration focuses on space exploration

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence in one of his first acts as the new chair of the National Space Council is touring the Kennedy Space Center.

The American president has called space the next great American frontier, and his vice president, while an evangelical Christian, also loves space exploration.

Citing Trump "situation", head of US Govt Ethics Office resigns

The head of the US Government's ethics office has resigned, after months of clashes with President Donald Trump.


Walter Shaub, in his resignation letter, says there wasn't much more he could accomplish in the post given what he called "the current situation" in Washington.

Trump meets Merkel ahead of G20 summit

UN: Secretary General returns to Cyprus negotiations with hopes of peace agreement

Just-released photo suggests Amelia Earhart may have survived Pacific crash

Investigators into the never-resolved mystery of Amelia Earhart's death have released a photo suggesting she may have survived a crash in the Pacific and been captured by the Japanese.

The aviator disappeared in 1937 on an attempt to become the first female pilot to fly around the globe.

Mexico: Drug cartel shootout leaves 14 dead

Authorities in the Mexico's northern state of Chihuaha confirmed that at least 14 people were killed on Wednesday during a gun fight between two drug cartels. 

So far, three people have been detained following the shootout.

American firm fined $3m for smuggling artifacts

US arts and crafts company Hobby Lobby has been fined $3 million for buying thousands of artifacts smuggled out of Iraq.

The firm bought the items to include in a museum about the Bible.

Manchester police say Arena suicide bombing may have involved others

EU and Japan signing off on free trade deal
