Global challenges topped the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The two men only made statements, refusing to take reporters questions.

Criticism of Senate health legislation increases

22 million Americans will lose access to health insurance with the health care legislation under consideration by the U.S. Senate, according to the bi-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

Trump Calls Reinstated Travel Ban a "Victory" for National Security

President Donald Trump is hailing the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to lift an injunction on his travel ban as a 'clear victory for our national security".

Airbag maker Takata files for bankruptcy

States and Japan.

Australian Casino operator staff jailed in China

Three Australian employees of Crown Resorts have been sentenced to nine to 10 months' jail in China while the James Packer-controlled casino operator will pay fines totalling $US1.29 million (just over 1 million pounds) (1.15 million euros) on behalf of 16 employees found guilty on gambling-related charges in a Shanghai court.

Six police officers have been injured in rioting in east London.

Trouble developed at a protest over the death of a man after a traffic stop by police.

Protesters claim Edir Frederico Da Costa was beaten by Met Police officers.

FIFA confirms doping investigation of Russia's football team

Global soccer body FIFA confirmed it is investigating Russia's soccer team over doping allegations raised following the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) independent report. SIX DEAD AFTER PASSENGER BOAT SINKS IN COLOMBIA

At least six people have died after a passenger boat sank on a resevoir in the north west of Colombia.

Officials in the resort town of Guatape say 16 people are still missing and 133 were rescued.

Local residents claim the four-deck Almirante had sunk before.

Some passengers complained at not having lifejackets as the boat went down.
