German cabinet to vote on pulling troops from Turkey

Germany's cabinet will vote this week on withdrawing about two hundred fifty German troops from a Turkish air base as a rift widens between the two countries on a number of issues.

Foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel flew to Ankara on Monday in a last ditch effort to avert the standoff.

After Trump Shove, Montenegro's PM Receives Flood of Support

UK POLICE DEFEND DROPPING INQUIRY INTO ATTACKER

London's Metropolitan Police is under pressure over its decision to downgrade an investigation into one of the three men who attacked the British capital on Saturday.

Khuram Butt was known to authorities - while his two accomplices were not.

The three men drove a van into pedestrians at London Bridge before moving to Borough Market wielding knives.

They killed 7 people before being shot dead by armed police.

India's rebuttal to Trump on Paris Climate Accord

India has rejected US President Donald Trump's allegation that New Delhi signed the Paris climate agreement to get 'billions and billions of dollars in foreign aid.'

While pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord last week, Trump accused India of signing the deal only on the promise of funding from developed countries. This issue is also expected to come up when Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels to the US for his first bilateral meeting with Trump later this month.

US authorities arrest NSA contractor on charges of leaking top secret intelligence


US authorities say they arrested a National Security Agency intelligence contractor on Saturday on charges of leaking classified information.

According to US media reports, 25-year-old Reality Leigh Winner leaked a top secret report about Russian interference in the 2016 election to the website..."The Intercept."

London Mayor: I don't have time to respond to US President Donald Trump's tweets


London Mayor Sadiq Khan says he doesn't have time to respond to controversial tweets from US President Donald Trump about his attitude towards recent UK terror attacks.

President Trump has been accused of taking comments made by Mayor Khan in the days after Saturday's London Bridge terror attack out of context.

In an interview with the UK's Channel 4 News on Monday, the London Mayor struck an exasperated tone:

Two Proprietors Arrested in Ghost Ship Warehouse Fire

Pres. tweets don't affect court case

The White House is trying to argue that President Trump's tweets calling for a full travel ban for people from six Muslim majority countries will not affect the upcoming arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court.

From the husband of one of the top White House advisers to attorneys representing the states bringing the cases, the opinion is that the nation's highest court will take the President's tweets into consideration as an expression of his intent.

The Trump White House has called for emergency implementation of the travel ban while the U.S. Supreme Court considers the constitutional questions.

The White House says President Trump isn't "picking a fight" with the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.


A spokeswoman is blaming media bias for the attention devoted to two separate messages on Twitter in which President Trump said the Mayor was making a "pathetic excuse" for comments in which he urged people not to be alarmed by additional security measures on the streets of the British capital.

Met Police name two London Bridge attackers

The UK's Metropolitan Police have named two of the men involved in Saturday's London Bridge terror attack.


One of the attackers was known to British security services, however Met Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rolwey has said there was no evidence of attack planning.
