Top Republican steps down from Russia election hacking probe

The U.S. lawmaker leading a congressional probe into Russia's alleged meddling in last year's presidential election has stepped aside.

Senior Republican and House Intelligence Committee chairman, Devin Nunes, was forced to step down, over claims he disclosed classified information while operating at the beck and call of the White House.

Senior US lawmaker steps aside from Russia probe [WRAP]

The chairman of the US House Intelligence Committee has removed
himself from their investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in
last year's presidential election.

The announcement comes on the same day the House Committee of Ethics
revealed that Devin Nunes is under investigation due to public reports that
he may have made unauthorized disclosures of classified information.

US Treasury blacklists North Korea's economy

The US Treasury has blacklisted North Korea's economy, saying it poses
a risk of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

It comes as the US and Chinese Presidents meet to discuss topics,

Senate Republicans ready for 'nuclear option' to get Trump High Court pick comfirmed


The US Senate is expected to take unprecedented action on Thursday in a bid to confirm the next Supreme Court justice.  

The Republican controlled senate is expected to invoke what's called the "nuclear option" in order to get President Trump's pick for the vacant high court seat, Neil Gorsuch, confirmed.

UK Supreme Court Rules on School Absence Fines

The UK's Supreme Court has ruled against a father who was fined for taking his child out of school to go on holiday.


Jon Platt was issued a £120 penalty (150 dollars) for the unauthorised term-time absence.

Report: Twenty Turkish nationals under invesigation for spying in Germany

Sec. Tillerson blames Assad for chemical attack

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says there is no doubt the regime of Bashar al-Assad is behind the chemical attacks in Syria.

U.S. President Donald Trump called the attacks an affront to humanity, saying it has changed his mind about the situation in Syria.

During a photo opportunity with the Mexican Foreign Minister, Secretary Tillerson also had a message for Moscow.

US President Donald Trump says that he's changing his attitude towards Syrian President Bashar al Assad in the aftermath of Tuesday's chemical attack on civilians in the north of the country.

Pres. Trump appears to open door to working with Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump says he's open to work with whomever it takes to defeat terrorism.
