African Migrants Jump Fence to Reach Spain

Hundreds of African migrants tried to jump the barb-wire fence on the Ceuta border of Spain and Morocco.

Police say more than 300 migrants broke through one of the gates with shears and clubs and 11 people were hospitalized.

Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered for passports issued by separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine to be recognised in Russia. Kiev denounced Russia's move as unacceptable. The US slammed it as contradicting the Minsk peace accord. The announcement came just days after the White House reiterated Russia must de-escalate tensions in Ukraine and return the Crimean peninsula annexed in 2014. UN Warns Of Civilian Danger As Mosul Offensive Continues

Trump Clarifies Sweden Remark By Citing Fox News Report (Wrap)

UN says NOT backing away from discussing political transition at Syria talks


The United Nations says it is NOT stepping back from talk of a political transition in next week's Syria peace negotiations in Geneva, contrary to news reports saying it was shying away from the divisive topic.
