California residents near Oroville Dam return after evacuation but area could still flood

INTRO:
Authorities in California are allowing people who live near the
Oroville Dam to return to their homes after water levels have dropped
in the nearby lake.

Nearly 200,000 people left the area after heavy rains caused water to
pour down the emergency spillway, which already had a hole in it.

As Laura Cantekin reports, officials were concerned the spillway would
fail and flood the area, and repairs are now ongoing.

Trump claims he's focused on jobs

U.S. President Donald Trump claims he's focussed on his economic agenda, as he insists any idea of turmoil in his administration is the fault of leaks to the media.

But from the U.S. Congress to the Pentagon, lawmakers and military officers are speaking openly of dysfunction and even unbelievable turmoil.

While Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen told a Congressional Committee that economic growth is quite disappointing, U.S. President Donald Trump painted a much rosier picture for a group of retail executives.
