HATE CRIME SPIKES AFTER EU VOTE

Hate crime surged in the UK after the EU referendum, according to the latest figures.

Over 14 000 were recorded in that period.

Police monitoring suggests hate crime incidents have levelled out again after the initial spike.

But Mike Ainsworth of Stop Hate UK says it's important that witnesses continue to report what they see.
