GERMAN RPTS: Possible fatalities in Munich shootings, police hunting poss. 3 gunmen


Multiple shootings have been reported at a shopping centre in Munich Germany on Friday.

Police have yet to confirm casualties or whether any arrests have been made.

A second shooting incident at a city metro is also being reported.

Munich based-journalist, Tobias Ambruster, says people are being told to shelter in place...

Police responding to Munich mall shooting, rpts second incident near metro


Police in Munich are trying to secure a shopping mall folowing reports of a shooting.  

While no injuries have been confirmed, some German media report police expect multiple casualties.

Friday's attack comes a week after a 17-year-old asylum-seeker wounded passengers on a German train in an ax rampage inspired by Islamic State.

Paul Wheatly, a Freelance journalist in Munich, said there are now reports in Germany of a second shooting incident near a metro station....

US Marine killed fighting alongside Kurdish forces in Syria

Turkey condemns others for possible support of coup

Turkey's deputy prime minister has criticized the country's allies for what he regards as only half-hearted condemnation of last week's attempted coup.

In an interview with the BBC, he said that the 60,000 arrests, detentions and suspensions are only the tip of the iceberg.

He says state institutions have been infiltrated, especially by supporters of the self-exiled Turkish  leader Fethullah Gulen who strongly denies any involvement.

Russia sets up independent doping watchdog, calls for individual justice

President Vladimir Putin is proposing a new commission to control doping in Russian  sports, which may include international experts.

An additional 45 athletes who competed in the London and Beijing Olympic games have tested positive for using banned performance enhancing drugs.

Heightened Security at UK Army and RAF bases

A number of Britain's RAF and army bases have increased security, following two separate incidents.


At the Buldford Camp in Wiltshire, police were called to investigate reports that three people seen with a rifle. 


It comes after an out-of-uniform serviceman fought off abductors at an RAF base on Wednesday, as our UK Correspondent Natalie Powell reports.
