Toddler's body found after alligator attack

Florida's Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said that the searchers had found the body of the toddler who was snatched by an alligator (Tuesday night). 

Authorities identified the missing kid, as Lane Graves of Nebraska.

California Judge Removed from Sexual Assault Case


The California judge facing criticism over his sentencing of a Stanford University student convicted of sexual assault has been removed from another sexual assault case.

Wife of Orlando Gunman May Face Charges

The wife of Omar Mateen who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando may face charges over the attack.

Media reports indicate that she  had some knowledge of his plans and may have tried to talk  him out of it. 

Noor Salman also  reportedly accompanied her husband to the Pulse gay nightclub prior the attack.

Investigators say she is co-operating, but Lee Bentley, the US  Attorney  for the Middle District of Florida wouldn't confirm the reports....

Trump Says Arming of Orlando Clubgoers Could have Stopped "Carnage"

US Presidential candidate Donald Trump says if club goers at the Pulse nightclub were allowed to be armed they could have prevented "carnage".

Trump is also proposing the flow of Middle East refugees be contained in that region, by what he called "safe zones".

Search on for boy's body after alligator attack

Officials in the US state of Florida are searching for the body of a two year old boy who was taken by an alligator.

Police say the boy is certainly dead, after he was dragged into the water by the animal.

Kenya assures UN it will comply with international law in closing Dadaab refugee camp

The United Nations has asked Kenya for more time to transition 350,000 refugees from the world's largest camp.

Florida officials say alligator killed 2 year old boy at Disney World

A 2-year old boy who was seized by at alligator at a Disney resort in Florida is believed to have died.


The local sheriff says there is "no question" about the infant's fate.

US nitiates $250m Loan for Mobile Phone Development in Myanmar

Argentina: Ex government official arrested after throwing cash into a monastery


A former minister in Argentina has been arrested after someone reported to have seen him throwing bags into a monastery. 


Police officials discovered that the bags contained some $7 million in dollars, yen, euros and other currencies.

Russian Summons French Ambassafor, Blames England Fans For 'Provoking' Violence

Russia's foreign minister has said English fans' role in the disturbances during his country's match against England last weekend shouldn't be ignored.

Pistorius removes prosthetic legs for judge at his sentencing hearing

Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius removed his prosthetic legs and walked around a court at the request of his lawyer ahead of his sentencing for shooting dead his girlfriend Reeve Steenkamp in 2013. 

The South African athlete was visibly upset as he demonstrated his disability for the judge who will decide what sentence to impose.  This comes  after the country's Court of Appeal overturned an earlier conviction of manslaughter and found him guilty of murder. 

The athlete could face a 15 year jail term.    Pistorius has always maintained he fired through a bathroom door at Steenkamp in the belief she was an intruder. 

Aislinn Laing,  Africa Correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, said the sight of Pistorius on his stumps without his prosthetic legs was striking.

LILLE CALM AHEAD OF EURO 2016 CLASHES

French police are on high alert in the city of Lille with Russian, Slovakian, English and Welsh fans gathering there for euro 2016 games.

Russia have been handed a suspended disqualification from the tournament over trouble which broke out at the end of their first match against England in Marseille.

Organisers UEFA have been criticised for scheduling Wednesday's Russia / Slovakia game just a few miles from Thursday's match between England and Wales.

And French policing tactics have also been criticised for exacerbating tensions last week in Marseille.

UK unemployment at lowest rate for 11 years

Britain's unemployment rate has fallen to 5%, its lowest level for eleven years.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show the total number of people without jobs fell to 1.67 million from February to April - that's 20,000 fewer than the three months to January.

Verdict expected in Auschwitz trial

A German court is expected to issue a verdict Friday in the trial of a former guard at the Auschwitz concentration camp accused of being an accomplice to more than one hundred thousand murders.
