Florida Gov. fear zika "disaster"

The Governor of the US state of Florida is warning of a potential "disaster" caused by the zika virus.

The state is already dealing with scores of cases, including nearly 40 pregnant woman who are known to be infected.

And as Steve Mort reports, with wet weather on the way that number is expected to rise.

Global Terror Attacks Dow, US State Dept

The number of terror attacks worldwide dropped by 13 percent last year, that's according to the US state department.

Its annual report on global terror also found the number of deaths in those incidents had seen a similar decrease.

Oral sex, "deep kissing" could transmit Zika virus

Oral sex, or even kissing can transmit the Zika virus, scientists have reported.

FIFA Payouts and Police Raids

Three of Fifa's former top officials, including ex-President Sepp Blatter, paid themselves more than $80 million (79 million Swiss francs) over the past five years.

JP Morgan warns over potential Brexit job losses

The head of US bank JPMorgan Chase told its British staff that if Britain left the European Union it could mean fewer jobs with the bank there.

US jobs data hits five-year low

The US economy added just 38,000 new jobs in May, the worst figure for
five years.

The unemployment rate however fell to 4.7%.

Former FIFA heads paid themselves $80m in bonuses say lawyers

Sentencing date set for paedophile Richard Huckle

A date for the sentencing of a British child abuser to committed crimes against Malaysian children has been set by a court in London

UN plans humanitarian air drops in Syria if land deliveries keep failing

The UN plans to air drop humanitarian supplies desperately needed by Syrians stranded in besieged and remote areas, as access by land continues to be restricted.


But the process is moving very slowly, and may not happen without the approval of the Syrian government.
