ICBC Standard buys secret gold vault from Barclays

One of China's major banks has agreed to buy a $90 billion gold vault in London, part of Barclays precious metals storage business.   

China's ICBC Standard bank, which is the world's biggest by assets will have more influence over trading, pricing and storage of precious metals with this move as Catherine Drew reports.

John Kerry hosts foreign ministers in Vienna to try to revive Syria peace process

John Kerry and the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov co-chair a meeting of the International Syria Support Group in Vienna on Tuesday - aiming to patch up February's agreement on a cessation of hostilities.

Coalition Strikes Kill More ISIS Militants

US-lead coalition fighter jets have reportedly killed 27 ISIS militants as they continue their bombing campaign in Syria.

Turkish state-run media says the air strikes took place on Sunday close to the Turkey's border with Syria.

Sinead O'Connor found "safe" after 24 hour disappearance

The Irish singer Sinead O'Connor has been found safe by police in a Chicago suburb more than 24 hours after she disappeared.


She's been taken to hospital after earlier reports that she was suicidal.

Turkish & US military operation strike Islamic State stronghold in Syria

US warns of 'unduly harsh sentences' for travellers to North Korea

If you travel to North Korea you risk "unduly harsh sentences" for actions that the United States would not consider illegal, that's the warning from the U.S. State Department on Monday.

The department said at least 14 Americans have been held in North Korea over the past decade.
