Americans named in Panama Papers

At least 200 Americans are named in the Panama papers, as media organizations continued to delve into 11 million leaked documents.

The documents were from Mossack Fonesca, a Panamanian law firm specializing in off-shore corporation registration.

US condemns Boko Haram kidnap of Nigerian schoolgirls as 2-year anniv. nears

It almost two years since Boko Haram fighters stormed a school in Chibok, Nigeria kidnapping 276 girls - while some escaped over 200 are still missing.

Human rights groups believe the extremists have kidnapped thousands of boys and girls in northeast Nigeria over the past seven years, turning them into cooks, sex slaves, fighters, and even suicide bombers.

Country Music Legend Merle Haggard Dies

Truce holding in disputed Nagorno-Karabakh

Interpol official accused of drug smuggling

Interpol's head detective in Venezuela is being charged with smuggling cocaine to the Dominican Republic.

Prosecutors say that Chief Detective Eliecer Garcia Torrealba used his senior position at Interpol to allow a plane carrying drugs to leave Venezuela without being checked by authorities.

Russia says oil at $45-$50 per barrel could balance oil markets

Mexico replaces top diplomats amid Trump furore

$160 BN Pfizer/Allergen called deal off

Russia pledges support for upcoming Syria peace talks

UK LOOKS FOR STEEL BUYER

The British government is urging India-based Tata Steel to agree to a 'responsible sales process' for the UK plants it wants to offload.

Tata is selling its UK steelworks, which employ thousands but have been losing money in the face of a global steel glut.

UK Business Secretary Sajid Javid is in India for talks with Tata's chairman Cyrus Mistry and will also run negotiations with potential buyers.

The chief executive of Liberty Steel, Sanjeev Gupta, has expressed interest in Tata's operations.

Tata employs over 4000 people at its Port Talbot site in Wales alone - from Cardiff, Steve Francis reports.
