Syria peace talks begin in Geneva

Delegates from the Syrian government and representatives from the opposition are meeting in Geneva for UN-brokered peace talks.

A fragile ceasefire agreed between the US and Russia has been holding in Syria - a country torn by 5 years of conflict.

Turkish President vows retaliation after car bomb attack

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed to bring terrorism "to its knees" after an attack in the capital Ankara that killed at least 36 people.
Erdogan said the suicide car bomb would only strengthen the resolve of Turkish troops.

EU Foreign Ministers Meet in Brussels

Trump blames opponents for violence [CLIPS]

In the United States Republican Presidential front-runner Donald Trump
says he doesn't condone violence but isn't taking the blame for recent
clashes at his rallies.

President Barack Obama urged the White House challengers to do their
part to cool tensions and not to resort to insults.

Trump cancelled a rally in Chicago on Friday after fighting broke out
between his supporters and protestors. And speaking on CBS' Face the
Nation the real-estate mogul put the blame on those that oppose him.

UK finance minister George Osborne has warned Britons of further austerity as he prepares to unveil his budget on Wednesday.

Chancellor Osborne's political opponents say further spending cuts will harm the economy.

UK elder statesmen assails Cameron over EU referendum

One of Britain's elder statesmen is warning that Prime Minister David Cameron could preside over the dismemberment of the country as a result of June's referendum on whether to stay in the European Union.


Lord Paddy Ashdown, former leader of the country's Liberal Democrats, said that David Cameron was "thoughtlessly" acting "on a whim" by calling the June 23rd referendum.


Lord Ashdown is campaigning to keep Britain within the European Union and he says the dangers of an exit are grave.
